There are a lot of state parks to choose from in Texas. I have stayed at a few, I always find that there are clean and I have a great stay. Kerrville State Park is one park I have been to several times. The screened shelters are great, they have electric, water with a table. Even when its hot during the day, at night its cooler. There is a grocery store and plenty of fast food, other restaurants near by. Blanco State Park is beautiful with the waterfall. It also has screened shelters, RV and campsites.
